Reminder that Mount Eerie is NOT better than Glow Pt II. It's still a fantastic album with amazing moments, but fuck this mindset that "muh, it's darker and sounds more serious, so it must be better!"
Glow Pt. II is filled to the brim with interesting musical ideas that aged beautifully while ME is just a straightforward good album.

That's exactly why it's better, Glow 2 is bunch of ideas that are good, but aren't developed well and aren't tired together well
ME actually feels like a cohesive album, Glow 2 might as well be a compilation of demos

You have a point, although I don't quite agree that GP2's ideas "aren't developed well." I'd say it's more that ME is just a more condensed work with a clearer vision of what it wants to be, which is a perfectly valid reason to prefer it.
I mostly just enjoy GP2 more because it has so many high emotional points that ME just doesn't quite reach.
