Not, too knowledgeable on the scene, but my favorite Japanese punk stuff is:

GISM
Zouo
Lip Cream
The Swankys
Midori
Melt Banana (if they count, I would say their earlier more grind focused stuff does)
Boredoms (same as above, I think the earliest stuff counts and that's my favorite stuff, too)
Mortalized

As for other stuff I do like Dir En Grey and X Japan as well.
