He hasn't put out anything of worth since the Unnatural World. His patreon begging is embarrassing, and fatherhood has turned him into a doughy, boring pleb. Sorry Dan, but you will never create anything as good as the DC booklet again.

He's actually doing a live show here in Brooklyn soon. Im still not sure if I should go, considering he isnt really the best live performer.

Even if he made a new album I don't think he'd reach the heights of deathconsciousness. The fact that he was depressed as fuck at that time made that album so personal and great. Him post-depression stuff has been mellow and boring. I'm happy that he got his life around and isn't depressed anymore, but it might mean Hanl will never make another great album

I'm not sure, the unnatural world was a very solid release and Giles Corey's hinterkaifeck EP is also very good. Both of these album were written and recorded after his depression I think.

I still prefer Deathconsciousness but I'd argue that the unnatural world is a more digestible album. And hinterkaifeck shows a good amount of skill for writing and composition.
