what are some of /mu/'s favorite musicals?
the only musicals that matters are the sound of music and les miserables
everything else is trite garbage
Oh look it's the most undeserving winner of Best Picture ever.

>>74522860
you're probably baiting but how many have you seen?
>>74522851
it's legit good.
>>74522883
Agreed. It gets a bad reputation here because of its fanbase.
>>74522860
West Side Story?
>>74522851
I really loved Repo! despite its many flaws.
>>74522883

>caring about awards
Your pleb is showing.
>Sweeney Todd
>Chicago
>Cabaret
>A Chorus Line
>42nd Street
>Stiletto
>Thoroughly Modern Millie
>The Book of Mormon
>Little Shop of Horrors
>Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
>Anything Goes
>Into the Woods (Broadway Version)
>Waitress
All of these have fantastic soundtracks! Of course there are some really boring song in the midst, but no album is perfect. Definitely recommend Waitress and Cabaret if you haven't heard them before, they have some really incredible and clever music.
If this counts then it's a must-watch.

half of those are meme musicals
>>74523072
Well Musicals are a meme genre.
>>74522851
almost forgot.
>>74523072
Alright I'll admit Book of Mormon and Little Shop ain't that good, personal bias due to working on them in high school, but the rest are genuinely good musicals. With great, and frequently very powerful music.
>>74522883
magic in the moonlight is genuinely terrible. they cant sing & they cant dance
>>74523511
Neither can most actors in musicals, or else they'd be doing music not acting.
