How does the /mu/ collective hivemind feel about Sonic Youth?

idk but they are phenomenal for the most part

I think for the most part they're phenomenal

the hivemind believes that daydream nation is their best (very wrong) and that goo is good (very wrong) and that everything after is bad (VERY wrong)

i dont think theres a hivemind consensus on this particular band

If you ignore the memes they are probably one of the most celebrated acts in rock. Furthermore they are probably one of the biggest influences on /mu/'s favorite alternative rock acts. 90% of the current board wont acknowledge this though, since they found it just after they got of school.
