I disagree with the people that discredit all Pavement as a fall rip off, but dude you can't deny that conduit 4 sale is an obvious interpolation of new face in hell. Our Singer is also an obvious riff on Hip Priest.

I don't think they're ripping the fall off, it's just a playful tribute that you can't really ignore when it's that obvious. They've even said in interviews that S&E was their "english post-punk record"
