"Getting into" is not the same as liking. Most people have to "get into" shit like noise rock or music that heavily emphasizes unstructured aspects or dissonance, because it has sounds and concepts that most people haven't explored. In a pop album, there are rarely any new sounds. Even in the case of Art Angels, the new sounds are not difficult sounds, like the dentist drills she talks about, since it still sounds like it fits in a pop album.
