Kendrick's an interesting case because I feel that he tries to convey what are actually very in-depth and deep aspects of a particular subculture but in a language that's not very eloquent. Now he may do that on purpose so that it can be more easily understood by the more uneducated people of said culture, but I think it ends up having the reverse effect resulting both the people he's targeting with those lyrics and people who casually look over them to look at them at a surface level.
