Found this a few days ago in a mansion in Sintra, a touristic village near Lisbon. Reminds me eerily of the album cover. The ceiling has paintings on it of mermaids and a sea faring ship. Will post another picture of the entire ceiling and a video of the rooms.

There was no special mention of this particular mermaid, there was only a sign describing the room as 'The Mermaid Room'

My question is, why is one of the mermaids holding a rod and pointing at a triangle?
