meh the album

I listened to JD and BP again today for the first time in a while

JD, for all it's flaws, at least has some pretty iconic highs
really don't like how half of it is electronic and half is psych rock, it doesn't mesh together at all

BP still does nothing for me,
I listen to it and it goes through one ear and out the other
I don't remember a single thing about it each time I give it a go
easily their most stale bunch of tracks
how Fantano thought this (or JD for that matter) was worth a 9 is beyond me
Trash might be their worst song

Couldn't agree more, I wouldn't argue against someone saying Turned Off & On GP are some of their best material, but the album as a whole is sooo overrated.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as I am with JD, but I do really like Spikes, Eh, and 80808. Houdini is okay also, but it is extremely forgettable.

Roids sounds like they wanted to make NOTM 2 and ran out of ideas. Like they didn't know how to make it unique, so they just said, "fuck it, we can make the production even more cluttered."
