what's the point of making gapless albums meant to be listened to from start to finish? if you don't want the songs on the album to be listened to individually, just make it one long song with sections instead. same thing for medleys like pic related.

yeah tell the radios play the whole fucking album too.
(they actually did though.)

this is my point. if your album is meant to be listened to start to finish, just make it a song. songs can have different sections/movements like an album.

Because although they're gapless, they're still different.

NONAGON INFINITY OPENS THE DOOR

To be fair, most people wouldn't go for an album that only has like two songs. Prog did that for years and no one gave a crap anyhow.

I mean if you have a 40 minute track on a vinyl people are gonna call it an album regardless of what the packaging says.
I get what your saying for shorter stuff (Siberien Breaks by MGMT is a good example of a track that does what your asking) but for longer stuff like Nonagon Infinity for example your assuming that the band wants everyone to listen to it all the way through, which they may not (in fact I'm pretty sure half the idea behind Nonagon Infinity is that you can start it at any song)
