Why doesn't /mu/ like this band?

I'm seeing Oasis threads pretty much every fucking day now. Here's a band from the same country that influenced their best era (Definitely Maybe), made even less success in the US and yet is 1000 times better.

Pic related is my favorite album. But the first one is just as great. Their coming up with new shit now that they're back, I haven't heard much but it'll never be as good as the first two.

Like 19 out of 20 people that like Oasis also like the Stone Roses, so they probably do but don't mention it. Their comeback single was a naff car commercial version of Squid Law by the Fall, though.
