also, go for stuff like massacra's 2 first albums, incantation's debut, carcass' early stuff, morbid angel's altars, autopsy's mental funeral, bolt thrower's ivth crusade, for victory and realm of chaos (that one is more grind though), therion's two first albums (of darkness and beyond sanctorum), carnage's dark recollections, nihilist 1987-1989 compilation, molested's stormvold, and maybe septicflesh's mystic places of dawn. demigod and demilich are both very respectable too.

Seance's "Fornever Laid To Rest" is a really really good' overlooked album.
