A brilliant album for the most part but the only redeeming moment in Ballad in Plain D is when he says "scrapegoat", literally made me laugh out loud on the bus when I first noticed. Motorpsycho Nightmare is fucking underrated though.

Bob Dylan's only mediocre album of the 60s. Thank fuck he changed direction after this, he's clearly boring himself singing most the songs. Spanish Boots of Spanish Leather is often remarked as one of his best songs on the album but it's not a patch on Girl from the North Country either.

Brave Murder Day is one of only 2 honest 10/10 albums I've ever heard, the other being My Dying Bride's The Angel and the Dark River. Heard fuck knows how many in the 9 range but I'm stingy with those 10s.
