I just saw Swans live yesterday and I am a bit disappointed. The beginning was very powerful and I was digging it but then Michael Gira flipped and things went to shit.
They kept improvising with shitty experimental noise, Gira was conducting them like a tyrant, the rest of the band were making faces at him the whole time.
Also they didn't play Helpless Child which is their best song plus no encore, so it was disappointing.

Havent seen them live but this is what id expect from them after wataching many live videos. Just a lot of experimental fuckage and hardly any of their actual songs.

If you want to hear shit exactly as it is on record and hear tracks that completely don't fit a single chesively sounding setlist, why not just stay home and listen to your ripped mp3s for two or three hours on shuffle?
