oh WOW this is fucking shit.
>>74440089
First two songs are great, the rest just sucks.
>>74440261
Only Sylvia is good. The rest is the description of underwhelming.
>>74440261
Two is a good song
>>74440261
>>74440302
>implying epilogue isnt the best song
>>74440089
how so? I loved this album
>>74440089
Bait? Its a one or two listen album though, I agree. Some songs like Thirteen are just irritating to listen to
I like it
>>74440351
me too anon, me too
>>74440364
ehh, personally i find it has replay value
It's a decent album with a strong storyline. Bear, Sylvia, Kettering, and Two are all strong songs, and you'd have to be an autistic faggot to deny it.
That said, it's not a great album. It doesn't emotionally connect totally successfully, mainly because it feels like the band is acting out the songs like theater, rather than truly expressing anything. The style works for the songs and subject matter, but it isn't that strong, as evidenced by the Antlers' extremely weak follow up album.
Just my thoughts.
>>74440402
I meant that I can only listen to it when listening to the album as a whole. It fits well with the rest of the album
>>74440413
>the Antlers' extremely weak follow up album
Anybody else feel like Hospice is the only worth while Antlers album?
>>74440445
I first heard Hospice and after that everything else just seemed to lackluster
especially Familiars, that album sucked shit
two is the best song
wake and epilogue are god tier too
>>74440532
I always thought Bear was great, its one of those songs that seem pleasant until you read into it, and then its fucking horrifying
>>74440509
Same. They just became generic indie outfit no. 56796, In the Attic of the Universe is pretty good though. Nice wintery ambient folk.
>>74440089
its not the best thing in the world but i think its pretty great. i really like the song two
>>74440558
Theyre like the Strokes, theres no chance in hell theyre gonna come out with another Is This It/Hospice, so they may as well break up
>>74440413
>emotionally connect totally successfully, mainly
Can you use more adverbs?
>>74440561
Stop posting.
>>74440588
shit he found me
>>74440581
Honestly. Can you imagine how much it must suck to peak with your first album?
>>74440424
>I meant that I can only listen to it when listening to the album as a whole
yea i can see that, i going back and having a listen thru the whole thing produces a nice atmosphere
>>74440445
but yea most of their other albums only have a few maybe 1-2 decent listenable tracks, hospice is def their best and they just couldnt top it
>>74440532
>wake and epilogue are god tier too
this guy gets it
>>74440558
>In the Attic of the Universe is pretty good though
what songs do u like on that album friend?
>>74440581
>>74440628
this :/
also why is it that this bait thread brought out all the trips haha
>>74440664
Best songs on Universe, imo are
>Shh..
>In the Attic
>In the Snow
>>74440664
OP here. That's not a bait for fuck's sake. I really disliked Hospice. People always hype that garbage because "my fweeels" and I got nothing.
>>74440706
That's fair. I find it hard to connect with emotionally, I just like the production and instrumentation and overall vibe it produces.
The Antlers were just getting better with each album
Uprooted is nice, In the attic is one of my favorites
Hospice is one of my favorite albums in general
I liked some tracks on Burst Apart but I don't even botger with Familiars
