Do you ACTUALLY belong on /mu/?
If yes, post your top 10 albums of all time (be honest!), followed by your obscurity score.
How can you know your obscurity score? Pretty easy, just follow the instructions from the following link:
https://yellowjelly.github.io/obscurity.html
Now, do you ACTUALLY belong on /mu/?
>00% to 39%
Welcome to /mu/, now get out (to whichever board you came from).
>40% to 59%
/mu/drone, lurk more before posting again, since you are the cancer ruining the board,
>60% to 69%
Not a /mu/drone, but you should explore less popular music more.
>70% to 79%
Great taste. You increase the board's quality and therefore people on /mu/ should follow your example.
>80% to 89%
Awesome taste. /mu/drones should listen to some of your favorite albums to diversify their tastes.
>90% to 99%
Ascended. A real music fan who is not afraid of discovering music on their own.
>100%
God.
Let's begin!
stop posting this
Hey, this is pretty cool!

>>74432999
Wow, me and my friends know all of these bands, poseur
I forgot to mention, the scores have become way more accurate since last time, with the maximum error out of the 100 previous responses being of less than 4%
Oh, and for those who don't know, the score represents roughly how obscure your taste is when compared to /mu/, with a score of 80% meaning that your taste is more obscure than 80% of /mu/'s.
>>74433687
What?
>>74433736
You must have some great friends then :)
>>74432999
Stop making this thread please
Call me cancer I couldn't care less
>>74434067
What's wrong?
cool
okey? guess iam belong here?
>>74432954
>having favourite albums
Looks like you're the pleb here matey
>>74434489
No, it means you didn't read the instructions. Bob Marley should go instead of Bob Marley & The Wailers (in this specific case it didn't matter much though), but nevermind, I fixed it now and it should work for your current album list. Your score is probably something like 10%.

>First month on /mu/?
Nope

>>74434785
Sorry, meant to say first week :)
>>74434838
I see you don't know many tripfriends.
>>74434865
>I see you don't know many tripfriends.
Don't need to. You're easily the worst. Even Montie's better than you.
>>74435016
how about me
>>74434964
this me btw
>>74435016
Gonna have to agree with this guy
>>74435046
You mostly stick to the generals, so I haven't seen that much of you. How's Melancholia? I've only heard each of the Disintegration Loops (1 - III)
Fuck off. I'm normally a pretty chill guy but these threads annoy the fuck out of me. Math Autist, please stop. And not just for our sake but for yours: you seem to be a bit nuts and this stuff can't be helping.
>>74435173
perfect album for catharsis, definitely worth listening to at least once
>>74435187
>if someone does something I don't like they must be nuts
Are you sure it's not you the one who is nuts?
okay haha
>>74435504
We ALL don't like it, jackass
>>74433821

I outscored everyone except the guy whose ampersand broke the shitty code, not going to post it because I don't want to watch /mu/ ruin things I like.
hey check out my taste guys
>>74432954
>you're the cancer killing /mu/ unless your favorite albums are obscure
That's ridiculous. The problem is the lack of depth in music discussion most threads have, and that's not including threads that are hardly about music.
>>74437001
The problem here is that /mu/ only talks about the same one hundred artists, so those threads get over-saturated and everybody starts throwing shit at each other. Better music discussion would be great, but if you want music discussion before fixing the stagnating taste of /mu/ you are seriously better off at Reddit (they talk about roughly the same albums as /mu/).
>>74436828
>>74436794
Post it anyways. Or tell me what score you got. By the way, the ampersand thing already got fixed.
>>74436828

Okay
I guess I can stay
>>74437233
do you have a RYM?
>>74437221
Yeah, because you are supposed to fill the whole thing.
>>74437239
Nah I don't really know how it works, I only use rym to check reviews. Should I make one?
>>74437476
Definitely. RYM is the best place, in my opinion, to discover new music.
>>74437565
alright, I'll check it out
>>74437091
It went down to 91.8% when I fixed the spelling of an artist.
>>74437307

>>74437733
>91.8%
Nice. Share some stuff. I have found some pretty good things by checking out some obscure favorites.
>make empties go to max value
Nah, too lazy to do so.
>>74437476
It's a good place to discover new music if you're a basic /mu/ bitch, but you eventually run up against the wall of new artists getting approved by mods and just leave.
>>74437565
Who introduced you to rym?
>>74437233
>this is what Avant-Fuck considers to be obscure
lmao
>>74437919
Not intended to be obscure tb h. It's my actual top 10. I would't have put The Cure or Deafheaven otherwise kek
>>74437919
When did I ever say that? Also, that's some nice taste.
>>74437861
I don't remember, probably /mu/.
>>74437233
>>74435516
>>74434964

Can you believe people keep replying to this shit
First time in /mu/, looks interesting
>>74438197
>Queen
>Red Hot Chili Peppers
>Foo Fighters
>First time in /mu/
You didn't had to tell us, we already knew :)
sure
>>74432954
just for fun, i picked the most popular noise artists for the top 10 & it gave me a 92%. This whole thing might be slanted more towards popular genres.
>>74438536
That's because noise is more obscure than other genres. It's working as good as it should.
>>74438558
Fair enough mane.
Am I plen? R8 my taste, I'm very insecure
this isnt really a music discussion thread.
i think you should all get banned.
>>74438825
Get fucked, rate and rec
>>74432954
>>74438841
>Get fucked,
no thanks
its just that your non-music discussion thread doesnt really belong here.
Rule #1
>>74438231
Why can't somebody just enjoy the music they like despite it's popularity and not have an autism attack when somebody else's favorites aren't forced to be "le so obscure XD" in order to look cool on the internet
>>74438886
So you also sperg out when you see a chart thread
>>74438903
But they can. Did I ever say otherwise?
>>74438878
>all those useless background processes
>that cluttered as fuck taskbar
>two (2) antiviruses running at the same time

this is a clear violation of rule #1.
you arent suggesting that the rules be applied arbitrarily and inconsistently?
