Oh, and for those who don't know, the score represents roughly how obscure your taste is when compared to /mu/, with a score of 80% meaning that your taste is more obscure than 80% of /mu/'s.

That's ridiculous. The problem is the lack of depth in music discussion most threads have, and that's not including threads that are hardly about music.

The problem here is that /mu/ only talks about the same one hundred artists, so those threads get over-saturated and everybody starts throwing shit at each other. Better music discussion would be great, but if you want music discussion before fixing the stagnating taste of /mu/ you are seriously better off at Reddit (they talk about roughly the same albums as /mu/).
