There are like 2 good songs on the right, meanwhile the left side is full of excellent tunes.
this one is more patrician

I agree pop has gone to shit.
It has always been this derivative and boring. The only reason it doesn't seem as good as the past is because you are listening to the whole and the not the distillation.
In comparison, if you went into a restaurant and tried their signature dish, you would have a favorable memory of it. However, if you went in and ate everything on the menu over a course of 17 consecutive meals (with the best dish mixed in for additional serving every 4th meal or so), you would feel it's pretty subpar.

light my fire is the worst song off of self titled and although 67 is better it's not like either are like 10/10
Anyone know if there's any rock in the left side? I refuse to name imagine dragons as a rock band.

Except those are both the top 100s of their time. As in that was the stuff that was at the top back then,a nd it's significantly better than the stuff at the top now. Your desperate attempts at trying to deny "le wrong generation" are pretty fucking pathetic.

Hot 100 Pop was at its' peak in the mid-2000s, particularly 2006-2008.
The 90s and 70s had better music overall, but as for the Hot 100 charts, nothing good really charted that high those decades if at all.

I unironically love pop music and even I think this has been a shit year. The only song worth anything on the left is Attention, and even that's basically the Blurred Lines of 2017.

None. "Body Like A Back Road" is a country song, that's the closest you get. "Believer" has the writing and structure of rock, but ultimately it's synthpop.
go back to red dit
