I just discovered this album right here, and HOLY SHIT it kicks major ass!
I never put attention to both of these genres, I'm basically just discovering them, so can anyone please recommend me more albums/artists like pic related or from those genres?

Robert Crumb has done some radioshows about realy shitkicking country music from the 30s, and his drawings of country legends should give you somewhere to start from.
Also, the Anthology of American Folk music by Harry Smith is a must for gems.
