The phoenix has been used as an artistic reference, several times in Daft Punk's work.

A Homework track has the word for a title. The recent pop hit "get Lucky" begins with the drawl, "like the legend of the phoenix", and the very depressing but very kino movie "Electroma" ends with the Thomas-robot being exploded, while the Guy-robot intentionally sets itself on fire and manages to keep walking into the night, which suggests the basic myth of the phoenix.
