haha yeah no problem i think i can handle this one. Christian Scott and Kamasi are very derivative and not even especially skilled on their instrument and lack the harmonic understanding to play anything besides notes that are obvious, pentatonic, and lack dissonance and color. Post modern jukebox is fucking memey bullshit for old white women and 24 year old guys that are bad at being hipster. I can think of 5 better albums from 2017 that i think are much more interesting and fun then the Epic or Stretch Music and i know some of the guys who play on Stretch Music.
>Ambrose- Live at the Village Vangaurd
>Arron Parks, Ben Street, Billy Hart- new album on ECM
>Chris Potters new ECM release
>William Parker- Meditation/Resurection
>Threadgill In for a Penny In For a Pound (2016)
>Matt Shipp- Piano Song, Invisible Touch, and Vessel In Orbit
hope this helps anyone willing to listen to this stuff but its all better then Kamasi, Post Modern (i also know ppl in this group), or Christian Scott

Hey fuck all these guys. I genuinely enjoy PMJ and their lighthearted take on slapping old styles on new songs. Hell some songs I think they've done much better than the original. Ex. Titanium, Stacy's Mom, and a few others I can't currently remember

They made a good version of a miley cyrus song.
