I liked the who better than they were playing cute British Invasion best rock

I like their Tommy and beyond stuff too but that early stuff is really charming for me

Childhood is when you idolize Tommy/Quadrophenia, Adulthood is when you realize The Who Sell Out is the superior concept album.

Tommy has better songs but as a cohesive album, I prefer Quadrophenia

Quadrophenia is the perfect soundtrack to adolescence.

Quad is more consistent overall but Tommy has way higher highs imo.

tommy has more accessible melodies but quadrophenia is an incredible emotional experience. it really doesnt let you go for the full 81 minutes. its an INCREDIBLY tough choice but i pick quad
