Let's settle this for once and all: Dead or Attila Csihar?

Attila's one of my favorite metal vocalists, but I have to give it to dead just because Live in Leipzig is possibly the best live album ever.

Huh, I guess I'm a bigger Mayhem fan than I thought.

I saw Attila with Sunn O))) and his voice and his prayers were scarier than the guitars or the loudness, instantly my favourite vocalist.
At times he seems not to find that sound he wants and he fucks up his performance when playing with Mayhem, and that's what I heard on De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas too
His albums with Tormentor proved he can scream like Dead could

Whoever did the vocals on that wants shooting, the excellent guitar work is ruined by the horrendous and hilarious vocals. Still, can't win 'em all.

Atilla's vocals are more unique and added to the ominous atmosphere that was already present there, while Dead's are genre staple and, although they're good, I enjoy Atilla's more. Lately I've listened to Wolf's Lair Abyss EP a lot and would go as far as to say Maniac's vocals there are the best Mayhem had.

If you think Attila's vocals on this are anything short of masterful you don't understand black metal and should go back to listening to Deafheaven and Have A Nice Life.

Dead is the better vocalist for Mayhem, but Attila is by far the more talented vocalist and his work with Sunn O))) is genuinely amazing
