Poor Bill :(
Anyone got downloads for the best of ECM? I like Terje Rypdal, Keith Jarret, and Avishai Cohen a lot - recommend me some stuff
Please recommend me some good recent jazz releases. Free jazz or traditional or fusion. Anything as long as it's good.

why were so many jazz musicians heroin addicts? was heroin that popular back then?
>>74375288
no idea but i sometimes wonder why artists seem to be more susceptible to disorders and addictions... i think it has to do with inhabiting your own alternate vision, deliberately losing grasp of 'average reality' for creative purposes, so to speak

Jazz, and music in general, is all about tension and release. What better release is there than an opioid high?
