Do any of you have any interesting marching band stories? If so, what are they?

It's been awhile since a marching band thread.
Here are some band girls

flute player in the bottom left has an awful angle
The girl did a porn and mentioned she was in marching band during the shoot

i got a blowjob in the room where we stored our sousaphones during school hours once. shit was cash.
i do not miss marching in cold weather and having the gross oily, condensed spit/water flow back into my mouth between breaths.

Is baritone/euphonium the official instrument of 4chan? i feel like it is.
>>74369275
i would say french horn, but i'm biased
At 4th of July I went to see my old high school's band perform in the parade. If the old band directors were still there I probably could have joined in and relieved one of the drummers for a bit, but there's no one left who can remember me.

This makes me nostalgic.

Showing your student ID in a porn video is pretty stupid, but pulling her scholarship for it is bullshit.

what can you tell me about them? I just saw the vid on youtube and don't know anything

>go to shitty public school with a massive marching band
>superior ratings for 50 years type of shit
>traditional marching style, no theatric bullshit
>lowbrass is half spergs half drug dealers
>busses with the percussion were like a party in the Bronx
>lots of xanax and weed
>meeting up after a game and getting drunk still in uniform
>being a general hoodlum 24/7
>got head in the back of the bus a few times
shit was cash, mellophone fag here btw
Why did all the tard kids play trombone and all the Stacies play trumpet?
Marched in a parade at night in the dead of winter. 20 below zero or so. We had two of those plastic trombones that sound like shit but they were our school colors so we broke them out for parades. Me and the other good trombonist had the plastic ones and everyone else had brass. Plastic ones froze in 3rd position, brass all froze in 1st.
like it's a lame story but we were a lame marching band
shoulda mixed vodka into the slide lube to give it a lower freezing point, thinking back on it

graduated a few years ago. marching band was the bane of my existence while i was in it (due to trying to be cool and enjoying my free time, among other things) but they're my fondest memories now. especially bc i was in drumline, it was so crazy fun, the dudes were my role models my first two years.
of course there's interesting stories. one overnight freshman year a bunch of older weebs brought a laptop and screened boku no pico in a corner. they were banned from further overnights.

Well they're the uppity rich white kid school mostly so they had a pretty good band/football team/etc. Although my school was better because there was a shit ton of Asians.
Depending on when those girls graduated I probably saw them at a game at some point.
A friend of mine and his gf had sex in the back of the bus during a concert trip

cont.
>drill instructor was typical bald headed devil
>would come down from cherry-picker during practice and yell in your face
>cheers in the stands have been raunchy traditions since the 80's
>mosh pits, line dances, humping, over-reactions to everything, "the funk light", etc.
>city rivalry game was a shit-show every year
>best feeling was rolling up to a competition in 5+ busses due to our size
>tfw solo during my senior year
marching band is not a sport
discuss
>>74369895
its competitive but idk about it being a sport
it's up there with e-sports and drone racing
without band I'd probably be a friendless loser so thats pretty cool
there was this one time we went to this extremely rich private school for an away game and no fucking joke, every single kid in the student section looked like pic related. it was such a beautifully demonic sight.
I've always had shitty times at band camp except the last time
>I'm a junior
>Been going to band camp for 3 years and it's been shit every year
>Getting beat up
>Shit stolen
>Bullied so bad I wouldn't leave my dorm unless to eat or to go to practice
>Stay in my dorm and practice and read books and play my Gameboy
>But this year it's different
>I have powerful Senior friends this year
>All of them are total rich boy Chads
>I am a poor fag and nerdy af but my friends accept me as an Honorary Chad
>Lit.jpg
>They bring two original Xboxes and Halo 1 and 2
>We LAN it up for hours after practice and during lights out every night
>Last night there, we have a secret cook out of steaks, burgers, and brats
>Stay out way late and talk about what we want to do when we leave school
>mfw it was a great perfect week of my life
That marching band year was the most fun I've ever had in a school activity. Our band sucked due to a new director, but every trip we had was amazing and all my Chad friends would make sure to make the trips totally worth it to me because they knew I'd had a lot of shitty years in the band. They were really great people and good friends.

If your talking outcast then it's definitely the pit
What is the best instrument and why is it the Alto Saxophone?
>>74370209
our band camp was in the woods. there were no TVs. cell phones didn't get service. and the freshmen stayed in hogans on the side of a mountain that didn't have power.
it was still a great time.
one time I helped smuggle McDonalds on the band bus even though we were only there for a bathroom break
I was sheltered
>join band in 6th grade
>there's only like 10 people in it because it's only open to 6th graders
>I'm the only percussionist
>band teacher says I have the best natural rhythm he's seen, but he's probably just saying that
>be first chair in the band tho
>get to jr. high
>get rekt by competition, last chair
>by the end of the year I recover to being pretty good
>next year, first chair drummer
>become good friends with the director, often come inside to practice and hang out in his office before school
>both years I win the sort of MVP of the band award
>get to high school, just barely make it into the higher level band that freshmen rarely get in
>consistently make the all-city band (it's a pretty large city) and excel at solo contests, but never make all-region
>by senior year I'm the undisputed best percussionist at the school and one of the two or three best musicians in the band
>always get fun parts
>be popular without trying, people I don't know often seem to know me, girls flirt with me etc.
>feels good even though I mostly continue to be introverted and only hang out with a small group of friends
>get to college, it's small but exclusive, the band isn't much bigger than my high school
>decide to be a math major instead of music because I was also pretty good at that
>everyone in the band is really fucking good, I can't even compete with the other freshmen
>only get to play odds and ends in the pit
>band becomes boring as fuck
>next summer come into the band room a few times a week to practice for the auditions hoping to do better this time
>not good enough, still can't compete with people who devote most of their day to music
>still get shit parts
>band feels like a time sink
>get no respect, band directors sometimes don't get around to telling me what to play until the day we debut a tune, so I spend many practices either just keeping the beat or sitting and doing nothing
>quit after that year
Oh well, being a music god was fun while it lasted.
I won the award for "Most Improved" band member... as a senior.
After we won a rivalry game with a nearby school, all of the band directors urged us not to celebrate that shit until this bus drove us back to the school to get our shit and leave. When everyone got back on their buses and the directors were busy doing whatever, everyone started cheering and shaking the bus.
Even the bus driver got in on the celebration and started dancing in the middle of the bus, but she got caught by a very angry bald director and we never saw her again.
god rest her soul.

We stayed at a college up in the U.P. of Michigan really close to Canada. It was empty due to it being summer. There wasn't any T.V.s so we brought some with and there was wifi wherever we went. Shit was cash.
That does sound super fun in a traditional "Summer Camp" way. I bet you guys got fucked up by mosquitos though. We just cooked while in an open field for 4 hours a day.
my band happened to be at disney world the same day that britney spears was filming a concert for the disney channel.
that means officially speaking, the first concert i ever attended was a britney spears concert

Well this one time when I was a young boy my father took me into the city to see a marching band
