All the hardcore original neofolk artists are either dead, past it, or not producing anything.
It's more of the same from others, getting a bit stale now. There is hope in Andrew King, but he's getting ancient now.

But that is not true. The German tradition is in the middle of a new renaissance. While the old gods slip into retirement, younger projects like Aeldaborn (as Inneres Gebirge) and Art Abscon are blossoming and revolutionising the genre. Darkwood and OTWATM are also still alive and kicking.
