try this:

wrap bacon around a water chestnut and pin it together with a toothpick

repeat however many times and put them all on a baking sheet

stir together a 1:1 mixture of brown sugar and ketchup (I know it sounds gross, but trust me its great)

cook up the bacon wraps in the oven until they're pretty much fully cooked, then take them out and slather them with the mixture you made and put them back in to broil just to get that mixture cooked up a bit
