You can skip the long jams and shit. At the very least listen to the first half.

For a beginner, it's best to listen to the album one record at a time. Don't listen to Apple Jam until you've listened to the first four sides.

If you try to listen to the whole thing at once, it can be a little overwhelming, but it's one of George's best.
