I'm looking for music that tells a story. I was listening to a lady sing traditional irish music and it was very much a bard style music.

Music that bards would sing, ye know? Songs with the purpose of telling a story.

My personal favorite. Not quite storytelling, these are song adaptations of popular stories. They capture the feel of the short story and do some cool stuff with that.
