It would have been perfect if they went out with this.

Ah man, that's a good album. But I do like This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours.

It's almost impressive how quickly these dudes went from their whole "generation terrorists" punk/post-punk poser schtick to making the blandest fucking middle-aged pop rock imaginable.

Would have had a perfect discography.

After Richey jumped off a bridge everything trended downwards.

This Is My Truth is a prime example of a singles album for me.

Some of their later albums are really good, namely Send Away The Tigers, Journal For Plague Lovers and Rewind The Film. But yeah they'll never be as good as they once were.
Always fantastic live though, even deep into their middle age.

First Impressions Of Earth.

KYE had lots of filler, but Journal was their rawest record in a long time

They always intended to be a popular. In their minds they were gonna be this huge political zeitgeist in pop music, sell millions of records globally, change the world and then retire. This was their plan with their first album. Didn't really go according to plan but hey they got a song about fascism to #1 in the charts for a record breaking number of weeks...

I'll go back and give it a spin. I was a big fan at one time.
