This is still fairly new. I worked for just under a year on it. My main goal here was to take 70s and 80s soft rock and inject a lot of eccentricity into it. Hopefully it's fun but also makes you feel something sometimes!

Hey nice to see you again! I liked Paul and figured I should check this out.
Really like the vibes (specifically the textures) of this track. Maybe I'm just naive about minimalist house, but it's neat to see such a bright take on it. The smooth build and transitions are solid too. It's impressive how you manage to transform the song in subtle ways that add up into completely different sections. I especially like the chaotic second section
It's hard to say where you could improve - so I wont lol.

I'm enjoying the chilled out vibes, and compaing this to your old project I can see that you've gone in a bit more of a melodic/tonal direction which is something I personally like. I think your drum programming is spot on for this type of music, but my one complaint is that a lot of the tracks don't develop. You build a good atmosphere but then you just stick with it, you know?

I really enjoy your music, my one complaint is that the sounds feel very lifeless and generic and that's coming from someone who love Baroque pop. Thinking About Believing is fire there's just something kinda off about it I think it's in the mixing IDK. Also the album art feels really memey to me

In regards to what you said about my music. I guess it's supposed to be that way because all of these are meant to be rapped over, and if you listen to my influences for this project they're about the same way. The only reason there feels as though there's a lack of movement is becuase of the Lack of vocals but I couldn't write anything to work with these tracks so I just released them by themselves.

Hey thanks, and yeah, mixing is definitely something I struggle with. My album art definitely sucks - I have some artistic friends who I can usually rope into doing a cover, but they were all busy so I had to do it myself. My visual art skills are... basically nonexistent.

But hey, I do know somebody who could maybe spit some verses for you. I can hook you up. He's never really recorded much before, but I've been pushing him to try, and I know he's got the ability. Could I pass him the tracks and see?

Goddamn this is great, and is honestly pretty humbling for me to listen to, coming from a fellow Texas folkish person (Houston native). Manages to sound earthy and rootsy without sounding corny and affected, which is a HUGE accomplishment nowadays. I mean the songwriting is great as is, but the way you fill out the songs is so creative and fully realized. You have an incredible voice even when its just bare but those harmonies are wonderful, and not obvious either. None of the basic thirds and fifths stuff (which is basically all I'm able to do). Those bits of lead guitar coming through are some of my favorite bits, and that tone is absolutely gnarly. I'm a sucker for distorted lead like that popping in otherwise acoustic based songs, reminds me of some stuff on Bill Callahan's 2 most recent albums. Wish you'd add lyrics on the page for the last few songs, it'd be nice to read along, but yeah. That was a really great listen.

Did you do it on an actual guitar or using a DAW? Either way, it sounds very good.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but the drums or whatever they were in Little Hands sounded off key. The guitar melodies were great again though.

Yeah I played the guitar live, didn't know you could even do something like that in a DAW... And the "drums" on Little Hands are just me tapping on the back of a baking pan, so those are bound to sound a little off, thanks though.

hi eric, i was expecting something more dark and cold sounding, this is more like a happy winter skiing trip - which is nice. track start really well with nice melody, vocal is nice, i would pobably process it bit more. other than that it's nice to hear something positive and uplifting.
