>>74320399
I don't listen to them, sadly. My only connection to Rich is through Lustmord's "Stalker".
You make an Aphex Twin one?
>>74320399
Autechre is best listened chronologically
>>74320481
No, but I have this
>>74320519
oh i know ae inside out, just wanted to see the flowchart about them that i've seen here a long time ago.
>>74320281
I really like the way you do your charts.
Is a NIN or Marilyn Manson one possible?
>>74320579
Doing NIN as we speak but there's 3rd EP coming out later this year.
We need a Pink Floyd one.
Very nice and clean charts
>>74320579
Ok, I made NIN. Just 4U
>>74320659
yes please

Swans

Very outdated, HM was a few years ago now
Made this.
Wow op these are really clean. I wanna suck you off
I find more music in Flowchart/ Essential threads than I do anywhere else on /mu/.
>>74321267
This one was good, thanks anon
>>74321930
That would take some dedicated and hefty autism, I think I've heard almost 20 of his records at this point and even that is hard to categorize
basinski is a hack
I need a burial chart
>>74321267
damn i didn't even know coil had that many releases, ive only listened to half of it
>>74323128
this
Is there one for The Smiths/Morrissey?
>>74321930
Pick literally anything because all sound same
I'd also change the Basinski one to simply the text "DON'T BOTHER".
Any Mike Patton charts?

>>74320579
For Manson, I'd say start with Anti-Christ Superstar. If you want something rawer and a little bit bluesier, then Portait of an American Family. Something more industrial, then Mechanical Animals. Something darker and slower, Holy Wood. Everything else is only enjoyable if you already like Manson.

anyone have a flow chart on kate bush?
Anyone got some genre essentials? Those are just as helpful as flowcharts.

Thanks anons. I've been listening to a lot more Desert rock and hip hop lately. That Brant Bjork album is really great. I'd suggest The Desert Sessions Volume 1 &2.
I really don't get flowcharts.
Not that I think it's wrong, but I feel like going chronologically always makes more sense to me
>>74324426
Yeah but, if you sort of already know what you're looking for in music, it can be helpful to sift through a discog. Take that Pink Floyd one, I wasn't as interested in their thoughtful pensive psychedelic stuff, more in the crazy shit from the first few albums cuz that's generally how my tastes are. So I've never really listened to say, Wish You Were Here as much as I have Saucerful of Secrets
>>74324362
next is funk
is there one for james ferraro? or dean blunt and all of his projects
>>74324374
Never really heard of him desu, I only know a little bit of stoner rock stuff. How does it compare to say, Blues for the Red Sun? I'd assume he shares some similarities with Kyuss from his time with them
does anyone have any kind of classical or jazz flowcharts?
>>74324974
>>74324974
>classical
Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, the list goes on... ---> Start believing that it's too normie and simple ---> waste your time listening to a bunch of shit and getting really into modernist and contemporary music ---> Get fatigued and stop listening to music at all ---> begin search for perfection ---> Realize that Mozart is underrated and the indisputable GOAT
Going to dump this here for you new plebs.
>>74325105
skimming through this i must have listened to at least 80% of it without even trying
surely everyone has heard most of this stuff by now?
Not the best Frank Zappa flowchart ever, but it will suffice.
i saw once chart with scary avant-garde music, i remember bish bosch, nurse with wound and the pop group from there. can someone send it?

someone post the green day flowchart
>>74325919
Just found this one.
Anyone got a Miles Davis flowchart?
>>74324468
I understand, especially if a band has a huge discography like Pink Floyd, you don't necessarily want to go through it all.
But some flowcharts are pretty ridiculous when the artist in question has like 4 albums.
I just think it can be misleading if you jump from album to album without taking their place in the discography into account, and it's always interesting to see how the band evolved artistically
But yeah sure if you only want to get to the good stuff I can totally understand that, I just try to avoid doing that too often
>>74325983

Here's a Can flowchart.

>>74320310
I'm gonna use this so much
>>74323715
Now that's dedication, so much so nobody's even going to bother to read them all
.>>74328816
Earth 2 it's incredibly good, as long as you want background music to study.
Anyone have a blues flowchart or essential list?
>>74320310
there are a lot of problems with this one
like the implication that Some Great Reward isn't creative
or the inclusion of Martin Gore's absolutely awful solo stuff but none of David Gahan's excellent solo stuff
or the idea that people should listen to Delta Machine over Sounds of the Universe
>>74328642
>no Public Image Ltd.
boo

Thank you anonymous
>>74325105
still dont agree with this chart. Do people here really talk about Glenn Branca here as often as dark side of the moon? I feel we need to update this A LOT.
>>74320347
AMSP seems out of place
>>74330454
Dark side is on there, but it definitely needs to be a shorter list. The jazz and metal sections should really only have 5-10 releases each considering most of /mu/ doesn't even listen to those genres very much outside of the generals.
There are a lot of albums on there that I've never seen posted here.
>>74328642
I'm left but this blows

>>74322541
how can you make a mashup chart and not put in somewhere radio soulwax pt 2?
do you just count it as a dj mix? that'd be understandable if true
speaking of, is there a flowchart for dj mixes somewhere?
This got me into Sonic Youth, so yeah...
Feels unlikely that one exists but one can hope. Is there a flowchart for Acid Mothers Temple? I'm really lost where to start and go with them, their discography is daunting but also interesting.
>>74325105
still a good starting point.
it rapidly becomes thin, but a great starting point

any microgenre welcome though
