What's an example of good harsh noise and an example of bad harsh noise? Why's one good and the other not?

Good would be [In my opinion] something like maybe Masonna's Spectrum Ripper because the textures on that particular release are good to my ears. A bad example would be something like Dead Machines by Sleep Column. There's no variation, it's just the same 2 seconds stretched out for 50 mins.

I mean, if you think he's a meme artist, that's your decision. I personally like his work. Peace For Animals and Venereology, as well as say....Noisembryo and Dolphin Sonar are great to me. Masonna is my favorite noise artist, for instance, because he's the only artist who was first to do his style of noise. It's unique. I've never heard anything like it.
