It's a good cover in the sense that it is not a carbon copy and adds something new to the song using the style of the covering artist. They payed tribute by playing it as if it were a Coldplay song.
It's bad in the sense that Coldplay is utter shit and their music is anemic garbage with no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Evanescence covered Heart-Shaped Box in their own unique style and nailed it. Uniqueness isn't an excuse to sound like shit. He doesn't even try on this damn song despite it being a tribute to someone who COMMITTED SUICIDE! It's pure fucking lazy to the point where I could actually sing that shit with more emotion and power in the SAME EXACT style. This is a song that could've been on One More Light ffs.
