What is it about this song that brings up strong emotions and memories of failed relationships?
I'm not even talking from my own experience.
Almost anytime I see this song covered the artist changes one of the verses to reflect their own thoughts.

The song is a powerful realization that you may be the antagonist in your own story. Ironically people criticize Kanye for being narcissistic but it's one of the few tracks ever written that fully put the blame on the artist.
