Thanks. I've been feeling more from Just Breathe from Pearl Jam. It's been feeling harder for me than Last Kiss.
The sounds I heard when she was dying were her grasping for air, the first time I thought she was dead was while I was giving her CPR in front of her kids and she started gurgling. Her skin purple. She lived for 4 more days and then the sounds of her gasping for air as her support was taken off are those last sounds for me

Thank you. This was a bit more than I expected. A lot of it hit true to the way we ended things. As I wish it would have ended better, there is nothing ca change about how we hurt one another.

Wretched and I wish to get beyond this, though I suspect I'll be here for awhile

Enchanting. I'm not following her. I have to be there for the kids.

Though I don't like this genre, this is by far the closest of my experience. Watching her body go completely flat and trying to breathe life back into it was an amazing and unforgettable experience, yet it's hard to piece it all together.

what happened to her?

Got the lyrics in the description, though it's in a more standard doom metal format so the vocals are clean anyway. Sorry for your loss my man.

I wish I knew. No family was with her when she died. I was the only one there. I asked for them to come but they refused. All I know is the night it happened:
I came home from a 12 hour shift, the kids were in bed. She was up and we kissed. I made a Shepard's Pie with lamb. We ate and shared a beer. I laid down next her, holding her hand. And within a minute of laying down she went into cardiac arrest. I did CPR, which I was trained to do for work, and kept her alive until the paramedics came. A homeless man was trying to get into the apartment so i had to shoe him away, as a result of the police sirens. I kept up with the CPR as the police officers came in until the paramedics ripped me off and let me take care of the kids. I figure it was a liver problem that progressed as a result of a drinking addiction that we had been working on fixing. I really do wish I knew the exact reason though.

I really liked this, surprisingly for me. Thanks, man. It puts me back into the garden we would sit at and how I slept there after she went into the hospital hoping she would come back there with me.
