Post/discuss live music in this thread. Live albums, recordings, and studio sessions are all welcome.
I love seeing how differences in performance/mixing/and so on change a peice of music for the better. Often times conventional recordings fail to capture the true impact and power that comes with a great performance, and sacrifice innovation and emotion in favor sound quality and clean production. This thread is for people who feel the same
Ill start with a few posts to get things started

NOMEANSNO live in 1990. Link is video of the performance, pic is the live album
Mothers of Invention on British T.V. in '68. Includes King Kong and (I think)a few other songs. Note the expressions on everyones face during tambourine guy's sax solo. Zappas solo is great in this

Radiohead performing songs from In Rainbows in the studio

Talking Heads in Rome on their Remain in the Light tour. Guests include Adrian Belew and Busta Jones among others. Better than the actual album IMO

Recorded in a basement in '79 but not released until '96. I think its better than their self titled debut in a lot of ways. H.R.'s vocals are nuts, remind me a bit of iggy pop in some ways

Violent Femmes in Spain. Ritchie clearly cant reproduce some of his solos so he just wings it on a few songs. Looks like the band is genuinely having fun
