Just started cleaning my 6 string guitar with a damp rag and

New set of strings, that's for sure. Treat you fretboard with some linseed oil, or any spray you can find at Guitar Center. Make sure it's well adjusted, no humps or bows.

Well I don't have any oil. It's been about 11 years since it's really got a good cleaning. I don't have any oil for it so I'll just do it next time it needs to be restrung. I'm going to string it up now. Does anyone want to hear what it sounds like strung up?

OH FUCK NO, DO NOT USE LINSEED OIL ON YOUR FRETBOARD UNLESS YOU WANT TO FUCK IT UP. Fretboards are not supposed to be finished, and linseed oil is a finishing oil.

that said, lemon and orange oil are both pretty good.

I think I restrung the high E where the B should go and vice versa How Can you tell?

They should come in packaging saying which is which. If you can't tell the difference by sight, put your finger on each and see which is thinner.
