After playing guitar for around 4 weeks now, I finally have my first song. I know /mu/ is all about music critique, so maybe one or two of you would be interesting in critiquing this song.
I know my singing is quite poor but in a year or so I hope to be a bit better. I know my guitar playing is quite poor but I believe the chord progression and lyrics in the hands of someone more talented would be pretty catchy.
Any thoughts?

I've heard worse.
Now I know you're just starting out, so I'll try to be gentle. There is nothing particularly interesting about this song. Part of that is the quality of the recording. Part of that is playing chords that are too much alike sonically. Learn a bit more about keys and chord voicing and come back to it in a month or two.

It's good. I'm saying this because you're a beginner. It's good. You have good area to improve and you should keep practicing and make even better stuff, then you can look back in a year and go "I can't believe I used to sound like that"
