I agree. Adored it when it came out and still listen to it every once in a while. Good album in my opinion, I don't see why it gets so much shit
I honest to god don't understand what the deal is with this album. When it first came out everyone fucking loved it and now it's considered complete shit by most people it seems. It's personally one of my favorite albums of all time. I listened to it on repeat during a very tough time in my life, and still listen to it often. It was the first vinyl I ever bought. I know a lot of metalheads don't like it because they "try to be black metal," but that's not even true considering the fact that clarke said in interviews that they don't even consider themselves black metal and they have claimed to take more influence from thrash. I have no idea what happened to make it so hated on mu though.

B-but I like both black metal and this album.

of course not but the band looks more like hipsters than archetypal greasy metalheads so it's bound to offend some
Here's a crazy new strategy.
Don't give a shit.
I think Nirvana's Nevermind is one of the best albums ever made. If someone said shit, it's whatever. Who cares?
Music is great because you can literally love every song an artist has made, and then hate everything after a certain point. It's just subjective.
Caring about subjective opinions of what's already subjective is fucking retarded.
