do any punk bands exist that actually have good vocalists?

Maybe, in terms of more traditional vocal styles at least

I agree, but Punk ethos is built around creating music performed by non-disiplined musicians. In essence, just having fun making noise or making noise to spread a message.
>>
>>74253286
dumb
>>74253317
interesting but not quite my tempo
>>74253327
that's a good point. but I figured there would be more bands that aren't quite on the verge of punk that still retain most of the style, or don't take themselves too seriously.

No, those were called New Wave bands in the 80's. If you had good songs, and were competent musicians, you got called a New Wave band.

The Misfits with Glenn. Arguable, but I really appreciate his vocals.

Often if you steer away from "true" punk, you'll encounter pop-punk bands or light post-hardcore bands which have a drastic difference in terms of quality overall.

Yeah, possibly this.

A lot of rockabilly inspired punk bands have good vocals.

Social Distortion perhaps?

Punk has a lot of good vocalists. That's like saying the majority of the rock music genre has shitty vocalists because there's not a lot of technical vocal theatrics at display. Like every form of rock music, punk excels at delivering interesting vocal timbres.

What you're looking for is probably Glenn Danzig's vocals from his time with The Misfits, but even that's a vocal performance I personally prefer due to how his voice sounds.

Our last night

Try one of their songs like sunrise or same old war

I like this, even if they seem like they're trying too hard
>>74253482
I like new wave. I wish there was more new wave that was a little more intense
>>74253505
some of their songs are good, yeah
>>74253589
maybe. I think I just like vocals that have more flow to them
>>74253614
