I don't know if you can comprehend the implicit language used by the interviewer, but his motive was to undercut the act by describing their out-of-scene styles and influences. Rollins, in return, was delivering observations on the fashion and attitude of the interviewer which contained manifestations of opposing ideologies. Rollins could have been more tame but the interviewer was not necessarilly benign.
