That's one of the fundamentals, especially if you're starting on a classical guitar. That's not something to be proud of and avoid even attempting. Avoiding even attempting something would make sense in case of Allan Holdsworth's style.

This is like the most basic ass guitar playing you could learn after practicing for a couple weeks, tops. Hard to see the chords (and my ears suck) because of the camera angles, but it looks like C, D, A, and G. Then she does some muting in the bridge on the same four chords.

I like her voice and her songwriting well enough but she's really not a talented musician. You could learn to play her entire oeuvre in like a month, mainly because she avoids barre chords like you mentioned (which are the biggest hump for an aspiring guitarist).
