its such a shame. I always though i hated country until my roommates showed me real country like the 3 pickers and sturgill simpson. All the shit you hear on the radio is is absolute trash. Link related

I like Sturgill Simpson as a guy, and I respect his music, but I hate his voice.

I hate the typical country voice. I really do. It just sounds like Alan Jackson garbage to me. All day.

Country music with normal vocals is pretty awesome, though. Which I guess is just actual folk music, but what are you gonna do.

Memphis & Nashville are literally in the same state.
200 miles in a straight line, as the saying goes.
Both genres have a long history of drawing from one another.
