I guess some rappers like J Cole and Eminem are ok but compare them to artists like Beethoven, Bowie, Lennon, Mingus, Waters, Springsteen, etc... it's pretty clear how pointless the genre as a whole is. If i want good wordplay I'll just go to the library and read some poetry and if I wanna hear good music I can just listen to rock. No rapper can play guitar like Jimi Hendrix and Syd Barrett or have a singing voice as powerful as David Bowie or Jim Morrison and no rapper can flow like Oscar Wilde and James Joyce
