>bob dylan in there

so many of these albums should be disregarded. this chart is why chart threads and newfags are so terrible
>>
>>74213754

Why not tho
>>
>>74213704
3. They were all shit
>>

Which albums should be disregarded and why?

>no YCDESC
>>
Just checked. Maybe off a few, because I just quickly counted them up, but it's around 93.
>>
>>74213704
Just looked through this chart, I counted 29.
>>
>>74213859
Unironically this

Smoke Crack is just a great chill-hop album

I'm currently going down the /mu/ssential list and giving every album a listen, more or less.

How many of them have I liked is a different question altogether

204/435

giv rec for something I havent heard yet friends
>>
>>74213704
DId a quick count and i've listened to at least 113
>>
>>74213704
A fair few of them. Gradually getting through it though going through discographies as a whole, Neil Young's is pretty big.

>>74214580
Go for those other AnCo releases mate and Age of Adz, listen to the discographies, also Tortoise is the shit.
>>
>>74214541
I'm counting 290 on this chart
>>
>>74214733
Can't believe you haven't listened to a single Swans album on there
>>
>>74214926
Going to listen to No Wave once I've listened to a lot of what influenced it, don't really want to rush in and not really enjoy it as much without the context.
>>
>>74214733
thanks for the recs, will listen
>>
>>74214966
Hope you enjoy them anon! I've always seen Sung Tongs as being overrated and STGSTV is pretty harsh first time around though on subsequent listens is brilliant. Age of Adz is fairly back-loaded and Millions Now Living Will Never Die has Djed.
>>
>>74215042
Yeah I remember starting to listen to STGSTV years ago when I first started out listening to /mu/core in high school, and not getting through the first track. AnCo's more left-field stuff is something I've always meant to revisit but I just moved away from Psychedelia over time
>>
>>74213754
Thats what you hate on? Not the cliche boring stuff, but Bob Dylan? Odd but okay lmao
>>
>>74215148
dylan is exactly the cliche boring stuff.
>>
>>74215245
>being this much of a contrarian
>>
100/435, is that a bad ratio?

Also, is it worrying that I really enjoyed nearly every /mu/core album I've listened to?
>>
>>74215282
This board gets more contrarian every day. I wouldnt be surprised if soon people start claiming top40 pop is underrated
>>
>>74215386
no and no
>>
>>74213704
Loveless and Pet Sounds are the only 10/10 /mu/core albums. Prove me wrong.

(ITCOTCK and RIL are both very good tho)
>>
Probably less than 2%
I actually kind of actively avoid listening to /mu/core.
>>
>>74213704
why is the redeemer on there instead of one of dean blunt's inarguably better albums like black is beautiful
>>
>>74215386
>Also, is it worrying that I really enjoyed nearly every /mu/core album I've listened to?
most of """""/mu/core""""" are highly influential and critically acclaimed albums that start/define genres. if you looks up any prolific artists influences more than half of them are going to be """""""/mu/core"""""""". so no it's not bad that you like them
>>

>>
>>74215568
For me it's Godspeed and Pet Sounds

I like Loveless but I don't get why people have this reaction to it. Not trying to shit on it, just genuinely curious about what it makes people feel that's so phenomenal.

>>74215504
they already do anon

>>
>>74215665
this is true

Before I even came to /mu/ I had listened to a number of Classics. My friend who hates 4chan and /mu/ looked at this list and claims he's familiar with about half these albums
>>
>>74213704
>Jazz
>No Allan Holdsworth

Yeah, this is the shittiest chart ever made in the history of shitty charts, maybe ever.
>>
>>74215839
Me again.

>Metal
>Pig Destroyer
>Napalm Death

Someone haven't done their homework, that's straight up grindcore.

100%, but kind of powered through a lot of them; served mostly as study music for the past half year.
>>74215568
Agreed. ITAOTS is a 10 for me too, though.
>>
>>74215808
H10 sub-/mu/core
>>
>>74213704
I've listened to 140. Probably 200 if you include the other old chart's albums. Looks like they added all the Scaruffi albums.
>>
>>74214733
Wow. You skipped over Red House Painters. That album is a 10/10. Amazing album. Can't believe you haven't heard The Doors either.
>>
>>74213704
Not many, the ones i have listened to were because it's what I'm into. Not really anything to do with /mu/.
>>
>>74213704

around 100

listened to all but 3 of the hip hop section
>>
>>74213704
can Devin Townsend get a spot on the metals list?
