ITT: Albums that maintained your focus and hopefully trained you to sit down and enjoy music
It must flow well and not be tiring. Examples of the WRONG albums:
Soundtracks for the Blind
The Money Store
Vulnicura
Ys
RIGHT albums:
Funeral
James Blake s/t
Silent Shout
Lonesome Crowded West
If it's dense, lyrically or stylistically, chances are it's wrong. Share your favorites to help newfags and hopefully improve this shithole
>you share a board with people who don't listen to full albums
Why even bother

>WRONG albums
Can't just be pretentious about how people listen to music, we must also be pretentious about the music they listen to.
How sad.

Go back to where you came from newfag, no one likes you
literally who trains themselves to listen to full albums, surely that's something you just do if you like an album

Samefag. Stop gaslighting trying to trick people into thinking /mu/ is a poptimist friendly board. It's not, and you need to leave.
>album general
am i hallucinating

what's your point exactly? How does Ys not flow well? Why is listening to a dense album wrong?
>>74209146
this, i'm fucking dying over here

Ys flows well, it's just not something an average person will listen to in whole on the first time. Albums with depth, that require multiple listens(with studious attention), don't fit in the theme.
If someone wants to get into Joanna Newsom they had better learn how to listen to albums first, there's nothing more vapid and pathetic than trying to listen to someone you can't pay attention to
>learn to listen to full albums
what the fuck is wrong with you
It's ok OP. I'm sure there are a lot or newfags or posers that don't actually listen to full albums. I like your suggestions for albums that flow and keep your attention. I sometimes get tired of an album a few songs in so in a sense yeah you can train yourself to just sit back and enjoy the music start to finish
