This and Lorca are probably the two best records the singer-songwriter era has to offer. Magic.

Almost as good as Lorca. Love Jungle Fire and Down by the Borderline.

Probably my all time favorite.
Imagine a fan of his early stuff coming across the title track.
this guy was something else. how do you write strange music like this?
I like Buckley, but the fact that he sounds like a Muppet is always mildly ruining my experience of him.

Drugs help.

It's actually pretty impressive the variety this guy had and could make work. Only a few other rock artists come to mind.

Why this dude look like the happy mask salesman from zelda
Why was he so smug?

Holy shit.

That's not the face of smugness, that's the face of someone who took life not as seriously as he should have.
I've only heard Jeff, gonna try Happy Sad real soon, not sure what to expect.

Hopefully you like it anon. Tim's a great and unique artist. His early stuff is more psychedelic folk and folk rock mixed with elements of jazz. His mid period goes full on experimental with jazz and folk music. His later period incorporated R&B and funk, but isn't all that good (though Greeting From L.A. should be listened too). He has a few live albums from his early period available, with Dream Letter and Live At The Troubadour being superb.
One of the best albums ever made
