I was asleep, woke up and saw the news on facebook and thought it was one of those fake celeb death things and fell back asleep. Woke back up later and saw that it was real. I just sat there feeling a mix of emotions.

On the couch in my dorm at like 2am
I listened to Life on Mars then went to sleep

listening to Hybrid Theory and Blurryface back to back.

woke up earlier than usual, made a decent breakfast, checked 4chan and then went to bowies homepage and refreshed it over and over because it didn't say anything about the death yet but the facebook had just made the announcement. First i hoped the facebook group got hacked or some shit, then i hoped he was just pulling a stunt for the album. Fucking sucks, though i didn't cry i just stayed home and lurked all day

Was in bed casually looking at some study notes I made on my phone, then my brother in the other bed told me.
It felt like a real gut punch, I grew up in a Bowie household so his death not only caused a reflection in me on his life, but on my own; how the years have passed so quickly, driving home in my Dad's van with life on Mars playing and being transfixed on this strange vision of Mickey Mouse growing off of a cow and lawmen beating up the wrong guys.
It was a damn deep day.
