This album is literally if Burial was black and an RnB singer. Just listen to pic related.

it's not 100% similar, but if you like the feel of Kissland you might like some JMSN albums.

I just downloaded this earlier today, actually. Any other recommendations?

Thanks, I've always seen Burial rec'd but never gave it a chance.

i love Kissland and i defend it as being this weird, unique little jewel in the Weeknd's shit. but i view it as a woozy, dreamy "urban" album evocative of being in a dark city with your head in the clouds. so i can suggest other things that i categorize it with, but they aren't straight up R&B albums so buyer beware.
Blood Orange's album Coastal Grooves. If you're only familiar with Blood Orange from the past couple years, that's all gone downhill imho.

Postiljonen's album Skyer. Female vocals and the occasional sax on this album makes it reminiscent of M83's Hurry Up We're Dreaming. It's a very shallow album but a fun listen
Fatima Al Qadiri's album Brute. Instrumental. Reeeeallly fucking chilly and distant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tzZlwTjf94
i dunno Anon i hope one of those works for ya, even if they run perpendicular.

That album is trash though. Trilogy > everything else.

Thank you so much, downloading every album you've mentioned!
